It all starts here. The contract between Nike and Michael Jordan was signed in 1984, when Jordan was just out of college. The original Air Jordan 1 in the White/ Carolina Blue colour was a tribute to Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina. So revolutionary in its time that it was banned by the NBA because they violated the “uniformity of uniform” rule. Jordan wore them anyway, incurring a fine of $5,000 per match. The Air Jordan is now a line of sneaker and sportswear from Nike dedicated to basketball, inspired and partially managed by the NBA champion Michael Jordan. This particular line today is now complete and designed not only for sports but also for a great street look. There are T-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts and long pants.
