The Nike Free series encompasses all the models designed for running enthusiasts seeking convenience, comfort and technology to achieve best performance during sports activities.
The Free technology was invented by Sasha Kerigayasky and this shoe helps to strengthen the muscles of the foot softening the compression with the ground. Each Nike Free features a thick and squared outsole that cushions the impacts reaching the spine.
The Free models are now 10 years old and the first trainer in 2004 was created by observing a number of athletes running barefoot to identify all the details in racing.
After a decade, now the Nike Free 5.0 is here. Let’s have a look together.

This sneaker combines the flexibility of the minimalist outsole with the characteristics of cushioning, traction and support typical of a traditional running shoe. The result? An astounding balance of comfort and natural movement of the foot. Let’s have a look at the specific technical features of this new and wonderful Nike proposal.

Starting from the upper:

made of ultralight mesh panels that ensure maximum breathability for the foot; featuring dynamic fit technology based on the flywire integrated into the lacing system to ensure a tailored and supportive fit and the finish overlays of welded material that eliminate all seams providing comfort and support without adding weight to the shoe.
Midsole made of low profile Phylite to create a cushioned stride, created with deep hexagonal flex grooves in the outsole and midsole offering 6 different flex points for maximum natural motion.

Moving on to an essential part of this trainer with an outsole designed and created with solid rubber inserts placed on the forefoot that provide grip and durability in this area subjected to significant stresses, the Waffle outsole inserts working with the Phylite midsole for even better shock absorption, returning to their original shape, thus ensuring greater responsiveness.

In short, this is a true feat of technology, no doubt about it. We are going to focus on two models.
